THE HERITAGE

DESIGN

The Heritage, formerly known as The Journal Record Building, is a historic building in Oklahoma City that was renovated to include over 100,000 square feet of Class A alternative office space. The building has stood for nearly a century and is iconic for its architecture, history, and spiritual importance.

The new brand is symbolic of the past and future of the building by showcasing the classic architecture as well as the modern renovated interiors. To create a visual juxtaposition of the two periods, the logo is composed of a stylized traditional serif and a modern sans serif typeface. A brand style guide was designed to establish the new brand’s messaging and to define the usage of logo, typography, color, and photography.

As part of the rebrand, a custom splash page was designed to present the building’s new name, history, and future plans through messaging, renderings, and an informative video.
